Cheryl Corral
BVMS PGcert SARehab MRCVS MIRVAP WVAG Veterinary Surgeon, Practice owner
I qualified from Glasgow Vet School as a veterinary surgeon in 2007 and following this worked in small animal in Glasgow for 7 years. I developed a strong interest in pain management and caring for senior pets, and so undertook training in veterinary acupuncture to increase my skills. My passion for treating patients with mobility issues increased even further - which then led me to study for a post-graduate certificate in rehabilitation through Nottingham Vet School to enhance the care I could provide to the patients I treated. I opened Gatehouse Veterinary Rehabilitation in March 2016, and since then have been leading the team here in delivering the highest standard of care we can to our patients.
Kirsty Martin
PgDip Vet Phys MNAVP Head Veterinary Physiotherapist
My name is Kirsty, I first started at Gatehouse as a veterinary physiotherapy student 6 years ago and went on to graduate with a postgraduate diploma from Harper Adams University in 2019. Working alongside the veterinary acupuncturists at Gatehouse has developed my keen interest in pain management and the physiotherapeutic techniques we can use alongside conventional medications to help manage pain in our small animal patients. I find real reward in seeing improvement particularly in the behavioural aspect of pain and enjoy building a bond with each individual patient, especially those with behavioural issues or anxieties. Outside of work I spend time hill walking and paddle boarding with my own rescue border collie, Fiadh, and enjoy travelling.
Tracey Baxter

I am a qualified animal nursing assistant and the practice receptionist. I have been part of the Gatehouse team since April 2017. I love being front of house and saying hello to both familiar and new patients everyday.
I have 3 dogs and a marine tank at home as well as enjoying being part of the team who look after the Gatehouse Salt water fish and corals.

She likes to vary their sessions, working more on functional exercises to help them in their day to day lives. Outside of work Eilish spends her time cross-stitching, watching true-crime documentaries and with her loan pony Henrick.

I find working with small animals allows me to form a stronger bond with each individual patient, which I love. I enjoy working with our more geriatric patients and find it very rewarding to be able to help keep them comfortable and improve their quality of life. Outside of work I'm kept busy with my family, including my little boy and my dog, Alvin. I love horse riding and have a pony on loan called Astro.

Rebecca Merser
Veterinary Receptionist
Hi, I’m Rebecca! I love nothing more than a good natter, which works well with my job as Receptionist at Gatehouse Rehabilitation. Chatting to clients is one of my favourite things to do, as well as greeting their fluffy companions. Animals have always been a main interest for me, and still is today, as I carry out my first year of Veterinary Nursing in 2025. I hope in the future to lean towards Exotic pets due to my love for my own tortoise Boris.
Eleanor Masey-McMenamin
Veterinary Physiotherapist
Hi my name is Eleanor, and I graduated from Harper Adams University with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2022. Since qualifying, I've had the opportunity to work across the UK and abroad with a wide range of patients. One of the highlights of my career so far was caring for the horses at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, before going on to work in an equine and small animal hospital at the Royal Veterinary College. I love meeting all the wonderful patients work with and supporting them through their physiotherapy journeys, helping them progress and regain comfort and mobility. Outside of work, my own animals keep me busy - I have three dogs, two cats, a rabbit and a horse - and I also enjoy spending time doing CrossFit.
Leonarda Hrvanovic
Veterinary Physiotherapist
My name is Leonarda and I am originally from Croatia, but I moved to the UK in 2018 to study for a BSc in Animal Biology. I went on to complete an MSc in Endangered Species Recovery and Rehabilitation at Nottingham Trent University in 2023. I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham in 2025 and am currently continuing my MSc thesis.
I have a particular passion for supporting older patients and tailoring rehabilitation plans for exotic animals, combining my physiotherapy skills with my experience in endangered species rehabilitation. I am committed to continuous learning and believe in a holistic approach to rehabilitation, ensuring each patient receives the best care possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy ballroom dancing, going to the gym, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
